English: Sampling for microbiology from geothermally heated soils at Tramway Ridge, Mt. Erebus, Antarctica. Tramway Ridge is an Antarctic Specially Protected Area (ASPA), which requires the wearing of protective clothing and sterilization methods prior to entry to prevent bringing contaminants into this precious site.
