English: Case A. — G. H. Boy; high-grade; aged 14 years. Came to us
at ID years. Pleasant expression, blue eyes and light hair; cleanly in habits. Can read and write, recognize color and form. Powers of attention, imitation, and memory good. Has a violent temper, and will bite other children. The attack is characterized by sudden paling and flushing, crossing and throwing up of the arms. The mental faculties are momentarily disturbed without loss of consciousness. At first recur- ring daily, treatment has modified these attacks to about lo a month. Sixth child ; ordinary labor. Father, a painter, 40, and mother 32 at time of H.'s birth. There is a record of a fall when one and ahalf years old. |
