English: There was a powerful and defiant Trans Visibility Day rally and march in Sydney on April 2. This came after weeks of escalating vilification violence against the trans and gay community, especially from right-wing groups like One Nation and 'Christian Lives Matter'. Organised by Pride In Protest, the LGBTIQ rights activists gathered in Newtown's Pride Square and them marched through heavy rain to Victoria Park. Video footage by Peter Boyle and Isaac Nellist for Green Left.

We express solidarity with ongoing struggles for justice for First Nations people and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
