Thanks for uploading File:Logo of Jaish al-Ta'ifa al-Mansurah.png. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT ([email protected]). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).
The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Logo of Jaish al-Ta'ifa al-Mansurah.png]]) and the above demanded information in your request.
Welcome to Wikimedia Commons. While everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the project, one or more of your file uploads had missing or false information regarding its source and copyright status. Please note that Wikimedia Commons takes copyright rules and infringement very seriously. Files may only be uploaded and included if their copyright status meets the conditions stated in our licensing policy, and if their provenance is clearly documented. Files that fail to meet those conditions may be deleted, and users who fail to meet them may be blocked. Please follow our first steps, if you haven't already. If you have questions, feel free to ask at the Village Pump copyright question page or on my talk page. Thank you.

While I'm quite happy seeing the flags youve done get high quality updates finally, it still leaves me wondering, what's your methodology for determining what the right script to use in your revectorizing? I know next to nothing about Perso-Arabic so I figure I'd ask. NorthTension (talk) 22:42, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I memorized how each Arabic letter is written in different scripts, including their variants. That's how I determine what script is used. It's not that hard to tell which script was used. Here's an example:
Thanks for uploading File:Flag of Islamic Muthanna Movement.svg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.
Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.
Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Hello! I am an admirer of your work with Arabic/Militant flags, and want to know if you could redo the Arabic and design on this ?: RowanJ LP2 (talk) 02:18, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

They're pretty similar as is, but you always do the illustrations so nicely, so I'd love to see if you can touch it up at all, thank you in advance! NorthTension (talk) 04:26, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you believe the content does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, you may replace the speedy deletion tag with a regular deletion request (if the content has not been deleted) or request undeletion (if the content has already been deleted).

Ahoy-hoy, do you have autopatrol rights at all? I wanted to ask if you could tweak the text on two flags but if you don't have it I'd rather not bug you with all the details if you can't overwrite files. NorthTension (talk) 04:12, 21 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
• File:Flag of Persian Socialist Soviet Republic.svg - changing the text to Nastaliq, I actually made my own SVG version I wanna send in a bit to see if you can upload that one to replace it if thats fine and if you think it lools good
So let me get this straight, in the first file the Shahada looks stretched and you want it replaced. 2nd and 3rd ones are self-explanatory but I couldn't read the text in the 3rd file. The 4th one is hand drawn not sure which script matches it the most and the text is a bit unreadable. Throwaway865432 (talk) 05:22, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh my bad I thought the third one might be readable to you, it's کاوه (Kaveh).
And yeah the rest is correct, the 4th one just looks like a mess but it's not the end of the world if that one isn't workable, it's not really used very much. I'd mess with it myself and I'm probably gonna see about applying for autopatrol rights to be able to actually mess with this on my own :V
Seems like replacing the first file won't work out for me. Don't know if it's the same for every user. In the 3rd file the last "he" letter looked a bit dodgy that's why I couldn't read it. I'm pretty sure that's Thuluth and not Nastaliq. Are you sure it should be Nastaliq? Throwaway865432 (talk) 11:49, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah shite, you might not have autopatrol rights then. Genuinely I hate this update.
The Kaveh flag I only suggest Nastaliq cause its used for Persian and *in my opinion* I think looks similar but legitimately you'd know better here; the only source of the flag's design is this postage stamp cause as usual FOTW never has a link to their sources. NorthTension (talk) 15:20, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You have to have autopatrol rights to be able to do any kind of file updating, they pushed this out without a really big community consensus and the only person to speak out against it, Donald Trung, was literally completely ignored by everyone. Was hoping you'd have it honestly but I'm literally about to type up an application lol. NorthTension (talk) 20:27, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hey! I know you mostly do flags in Arabic, Pashto, Urdu, etc. but I was wondering if you could do this flag even though it's in Hebrew, and if you can't can you fix the design on the top and bottom of the flag? RowanJ LP (talk) 01:40, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
