Targets ✅ Declarations ✅ Climate goals ✅ Wind farms ❌ Turning our ambitions into actual wind farms means rethinking offshore wind auctions. Current mechanisms add too much financial risk upfront, instead of focusing on promoting project realisation and value creation. 2024, particularly, is a pivotal year - with an unprecedented volume of offshore wind up for auction. If ever there was a time for action, it’s now. Later is too late. www.vestas.com/action

First power! We’ve finalised the installation of our flagship offshore turbine, the V236-15.0 MW, in the Port of Thyborøn in the northwestern part of Denmark. Today, the turbine successfully produced its first kWh of power – a crucial step in our final verification campaign. We are ramping up serial production before starting the installation of the first offshore projects featuring the V236-15.0 MW turbine.

"What is it that makes you tick? For me, it’s about finding your passion. Try different things, challenge yourself until you find what truly excites you.” Nadine joined us in 2008, beginning her journey as a personal Assistant her career spanned various departments, including risk and legal. In 2014 she discovered her passion for offshore projects. Since 2023, she has been Senior Project Manager for Customer Project Execution (CPX). “Project management quickly became a passion of mine. Leading projects to completion and seeing them come to life is incredibly rewarding.” Safety has always been a priority for Nadine. From ensuring robust safety measures on offshore vessels to introducing mental health support: “It’s crucial from a management perspective that we make sure people working in potentially unsafe environments know we’ve got their backs and are doing everything possible to remove and mitigate all risks.” Learn more about Nadine's journey: https://brnw.ch/21wKuwE

Our safety culture includes Pride. Here’s why. Putting safety first goes beyond preventing physical accidents. It’s also about fostering emotional and psychological security. We recognise that diversity drives innovation, and inclusion is how we harness this power. That’s why we strive to be a workplace where, despite our different beliefs and experiences, we approach each other’s differences with respect, finding common ground in what unites us. This is how we build a culture of inclusion and succeed in leading the energy transition. As we mark International Pride Month, we continue our efforts to ensure everyone feels included and safe to be their authentic selves...always. Happy Pride. #PoweringInclusion

Vestas continues to evolve our organisation to reflect our customers’ and broader value chain’s needs and is today announcing the next step in this evolution. This step entails Vestas uniting our Technology organisation (CTO) and Manufacturing & Global Procurement organisation (COO) into one Technology and Operations organisation (CTOO). The united CTOO organisation will become the foundation for one enterprise-wide industrial system within Vestas and will be headed by our current Chief Technology Officer, Anders Nielsen. The united CTOO organisation utilises building blocks from our current global and regional operating model to minimise impact on operations and safeguard deliveries and project execution in 2024. Henrik Andersen, Group President & CEO, says: “Vestas has built a strong backlog across onshore, offshore, and service towards the end of this decade, and we are today announcing the next step in our organisational evolution to deliver on our customer commitments. I’m very pleased Anders Nielsen has accepted to continue leading Vestas’ industrialisation forward, and I want to thank Tommy Rahbek Nielsen for his incredible contribution to Vestas for more than 25 years. In the role as COO, Tommy was pivotal in keeping Vestas running during the pandemic and making us profitable again, and he has done an excellent job in maturing our COO-organisation to a level that enables us to take the next step for the benefit of Vestas.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/eGXGyFvj

🌟 Celebrating the Regional Talent Programme Final Summit 🌟 Over the past 10 months, selected talent across the Vestas organisation took part in the Regional Talent Programme (RTP). Here, the participants were provided with targeted development experiences designed to accelerate personal and leadership growth through self-reflection, mentoring, feedback, and career sparring, along with leadership training and global networking opportunities. Last week, we concluded our RTP 2 Final Summit - a three-day event at our HQ in Aarhus. The 67 participants from 17 countries engaged in a rich agenda featuring inspiring sessions with senior leaders and engaging workshops. With half a day dedicated to teambuilding, spirits ran especially high during the fun and dynamic team-building exercises, where participants were asked to find creative solutions to different real-life challenges. Now, these leaders return home with invaluable insights, strengthened networks, and certificates marking their 10-month journey. Congratulations to all participants for their dedication and growth! 💼✨

Natarajan joined us 18 years ago. His early responsibilities included installing meteorological towers, wind data analysis and site assessments in India. In 2010, Natarajan transferred to Australia during the integration of the Asia Pacific operations and utilised his Indian and Australian cultural experience to bridge the gaps. After two years in Australia, Natarajan returned to India to pursue becoming a people leader and building a team from scratch. Nowadays, as the Global Head of Remote Operations Centers, he leverages his extensive experience across various roles, ensuring smooth operations globally. Natarajan emphasises the importance of transparency and continuous learning: "In my 18 years at Vestas, I've learned that openness and asking for help are key. This company thrives on mutual support, not hiding mistakes. We all make mistakes, but it's crucial to acknowledge, learn from them, and move forward." Testing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for offshore wind! We’re piloting SAF-powered helicopters at the Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm in Germany. Under this, we will: ◾ Use SAF with a blend rate of 40%, the industry highest during an entire offshore wind farm construction period. ◾ Transport our technicians to and from the site during the construction phase of 50 offshore turbines. ◾ Expect CO2 savings of approx. 32% compared to using a standard helicopter powered by conventional jet fuel. This project emphasises our ambition to become carbon neutral by 2030. Decarbonising our offshore construction and operation processes is a key part of this journey, and we’re excited to learn how SAF can contribute to this. This initiative is in close collaboration with Roskilde Airport, DCC & Shell Aviation Denmark A/S, HeliService, Leonardo Helicopters, Pratt & Whitney and Fred. Olsen Windcarrier. Thank you all for your commitment. A thorough impact assessment will follow the pilot project. Learn more: https://brnw.ch/21wK37y Photo credits to Derek Henthorn.
