Image request

edit

Looks like this page now has a photo of the obelisk, so I'm taking down the image request tag! Huzzah!

Obelisk

edit

In the gallery I have placed two pictures of the base of the Scottish Martyrs Monument. I presume the request is for the obelisk above it. My personal view is that the base is much more interesting. Next time I visit (this will be in 2011) I will take a photograph (if neccessary of course). JHvW (talk) 17:24, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thomas Muir

edit

Article currently states that he is buried here. Seems highly unlikely as he died as an outlawed exile in France (see Thomas Muir article, which doesn't currently state where he was buried). Yes, there's a monument to the Scottish Political Martyrs in this cemetery and yes, it has Muir's name on it - could it be that the original wiki editor mistook it for a gravestone? 81.151.230.24 (talk) 18:15, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

I agreed, and removed it. – Fayenatic London 12:24, 29 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Leysdown Tragedy

There's a new press story on the Leysdown Tragedy - worth a Wikipedia article in its own right? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 23:01, 6 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

I'm removing this source as it doesn't support the cited point, and as a personal blog is not WP:RS. Nevertheless the links at the end might be worth looking up: http://www.worldofbadger.co.uk/2008/05/14/i-see-dead-people-a-visit-to-nunhead-cemetery/Fayenatic London 12:39, 29 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
