editWife? I always thought he was a chutney-chaser. 88.111.22.93 23:44, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
- I assume you mean he is "gay". Well, this is not true. Iolakana|T 15:27, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
- "Married" does not mean he was not gay. It just means he was married. MartiniShaw (talk) 15:01, 27 November 2019 (UTC)
- It seems he made his own. Martinevans123 (talk) 15:30, 27 November 2019 (UTC) ... if we're talking "cocktails," I hear that a Between the Sheets is very popular with a chutney chaser...
Citing
editI have removed the trivia section. Please cite before adding it back in. Iolakana|T 15:27, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
Surly the bit about the Stoke pub is libelous and should be removed?
- Not any more. He has snuffed it. MartiniShaw (talk) 15:51, 27 November 2019 (UTC)

new restaurants
edithe has recently taken over two hotels in the christchurch and mudeford areas of bournemouth (in dorset), i know as i live right next to one of them and saw him stood outside it. it is being completely refurbished at the moment and for a few weeks there was a big banner outside it with his face and the words "he's coming" underneath. the other one it is just common knowledge to people who live round here that he has taken over it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.210.131.30 (talk) 14:42, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Gary Rhodes Parody
editRhodes was parodied in That Mitchell And Webb Look on 18th of june 2009. Sketch feature a gay man who looks up to gary as a figure to model himself off finds himself imagining a poor representation of gary who also happens to be homophobic. Pretty funny stuff, deserves a mention?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.4.139.188 (talk • contribs)
- Maybe if it becomes notable and is reported by a reliable source. DP76764 (Talk) 23:09, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- Does this count? You can watch it on YouTube, of course, if you dare encourage that scandalous copyvio. He also gets a mention in Psychoville apparently. Martinevans123 (talk) 15:59, 27 November 2019 (UTC)
I have remove the sentence "He was born - and remains - a white male". As there is cleary a picture represented — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.42.89.13 (talk) 10:19, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
- "Cleary"? Julian? MartiniShaw (talk) 15:53, 27 November 2019 (UTC)
- What were you expecting? Big boobs and black?? Martinevans123 (talk) 16:05, 27 November 2019 (UTC)
- Am pleased to say that, apparently, it's not a copyvio. Martinevans123 (talk) 18:59, 27 November 2019 (UTC)
First TV appearance
editThe article currently says His first TV appearance was at the age of 27, courtesy of Glynn Christian on Hot Chefs. This led to Rhodes Around Britain and Gary's Perfect Christmas. A piece shown on BBC2 today and also available on youtu.be/SnkCQpawrb0 youtube shows a young Gary with Keith Floyd at the Castle Hotel, Taunton. I'd guess it's a fair bit earlier but finding a reliable source could be difficult. Has anyone access to the Radio Times archive or similar that would have the first broadcast date?
