Local Healthwatch and Healthwatch England

edit

The UK government have recently announced that it will be a requirement for each local authority to develop a local 'healthwatch', and that a 'healthwatch England' will also be put in place (http://www.dh.gov.uk/health/tag/healthwatch/).

Is it worth adding a disambiguation page for these here? Remember, half the people you know are below average. (talk) 12:05, 30 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

The HealthWatch charity was established in 1991 long before the Health and Social Care Act 2021 set up the NHS organisations and has nothing to do with them. The charity changed its name in 2021 from HealthWatch to HealthSense to get away from this confusion. I've explained this in the article and moved the page to the new name.
