Re-naming

edit

I think it is right that a British peer should be identified by his official title, rather than by the unofficial soubriquet which he might enjoy in the U.S.A. if he were an American. 45ossington (talk) 12:29, 15 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ancestry

edit

The ancestry table was deleted, with the reason that it is not a genealogy page. Several other British nobles have ancestry tables, so it seems appropriate for him to have one as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.77.208.175 (talk) 21:45, 3 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Just because other pages have certain things doesn't necessarily mean this one should. There is already an Astor family page talking about his ancestors. The table also was mostly unsourced. It didn't add any real benefit. Snuggums (talk / edits) 23:01, 3 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
