Alan Pennington (4 April 1916 – 2 June 1961) was a British sprinter. He competed in the men's 100 metres at the 1936 Summer Olympics.[1]
Biography
[edit]Pennington reached the semi-final of the 100 metres event at the 1936 Summer Olympics.[2]
Pennington won the 440 yards title in 1939, at the prestigious AAA Championships.[3]
Pennington served in World War II reaching the rank of Captain. He committed suicide in a hotel room in Lisbon.[4]
