Andrei Coubiș (born 29 September 2003) is a footballer who plays as a defender for Serie C Group B club Milan Futuro, the reserve team of Serie A club AC Milan.[1] Born in Italy to Romanian parents, he is a Romania youth international.

Early life[edit]

Andrei Coubiș was born in Milan, Lombardy, from Romanian parents that arrived there from Suceava.[2][3] He started playing football in his hometown, joining the AC Milan main academy as an under-17.[4]

Club career[edit]

Andrei Coubiș entered the Primavera squad of AC Milan in 2021,[5] a side he eventually captained.[2]

He made his senior debut for the rossoneri during a friendly match against German club 1. FC Köln on the summer of 2022,[3] before figuring on the bench in the Champions League that same year, for the group phase matches against English club Chelsea (both home and away), and the away match against Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb, without making his official debut however.[6] He also then made headlines in the Youth League, as he scored against RB Salzburg for the opening game of the Milanisti.[7][8]

On the summer of 2024, he was assigned to the newly created reserve team Milan Futuro, set to compete in the Serie C Group B.[9]

International career[edit]

Coubiș was a youth international for Romania,[2][4] as he played the European Under-19 Championship with Romania.[10] On April 2023 he switched allegiance to Italy, declaring he would play for Azzurri.
