Josh Fryar is an American football offensive tackle for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Early life and high school
[edit]Fryar was born in Beech Grove, Indiana where he attended high school at Beech Grove. Coming out of high school Fryar was a three-star recruit where he had offers from Alabama, Florida State, Iowa State, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Washington State, West Virginia, Wisconsin.[1] He decided to commit to play college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes.[2][3]
College career
[edit]In Fryar's first season in 2020, he would redshirt. In Fryar's second season in 2021 he played 12 games before tearing his ACL.[4][5] During the 2022 season, Fryar got his first career start at guard against Indiana.[6] Fryar came into the 2023 season vying for a starting tackle job.[7][8] Heading into the Buckeyes first game of the 2023 season, Fryar would earn the starting left tackle spot.[9][10] For his performance on the 2023 season, Fryar was named first-team all Big Ten.[11][12]
