Not situated on both continents[edit]

I don't agree with this sentence: Çanakkale is the second city to be situated on two continents after Istanbul. Çanakkale is situated at the Anatolian shore and not on Rumelian shore. Probably by this sentence Çanakkale province rather than the city itself is meant. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 08:58, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have linked "Çanakkale war" to "Chanak Crisis" which seems to be about the same thing, but I am dubious as to whehter the statemetns about the deaths in the war are correct, unless this is intended to comprise the whole of the Turkish war of independence and the Greco-Turkish War (1919–1922). I suspect that we are dealing with a conflation of several related events. Can some one tidy this up, so that the various articles are consistent? Regarding wind speed[edit]

@Uness232

Is there any source in which summer months in Çanakkale have a higher wind speed than in winter months? I have data from MGM as well. Abcdefg9583 (talk) 14:00, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Abcdefg9583 If you have sources from MGM, cite them in the article, I won't challenge them if they say what you claim. Uness232 (talk) 14:28, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Abcdefg9583 I've changed the citation type for consistency and adjusted the wording. Thank you for correcting my misapprehension. Uness232 (talk) 16:20, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, I was in a hurry so I couldn't really check the quality of the grammar, thanks for the adjustment. Abcdefg9583 (talk) 16:28, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
