Battle of Jalowaz

[edit]

In the article it is claimed that In August, at the battle of Jalowatz Murad II is defeated, and forced to abdicate in favor of his son Mehmed II .(Added by 213.16.225.62) I couldn't find any source which confirms this assertion. According to sources Janos Hunyadi defeated Ottoman army several times in the pre Christmas days of 1443 . But in August 1444 there was no battle, just the reverse, Peace of Szeged (Turkish: Edirne Segedin antlaşması) had been signed. It was only then, Murat decided to abdicate. Maybe an expert may clarify the subject. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 08:41, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
