Renamed

[edit]

I moved this page to 1967 Plainfield riots but due to a couple of mistakes I've left several redirects behind me. Oh well :) -- FP <talk><edits> 09:29, July 12, 2005 (UTC)

Trigger

What was the fight in the diner about that set off the "40 black youths"? It would help everyone to better understand what happened. Stevenmitchell 10:34, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There's no mention here of the Black Panthers presence in town during these events. There is speculation that events were fomented by the panthers. Joanne Chesimard was arrested and implicated in Gleason's murder. That isn't mentioned.
