WP Mil Hist Evaluation
[edit]- Coverage": The article covers the activities of the fleet in the Russo-Japanese War adequately enough, but then glosses over the 40 years that follow.
- Supporting Materials: An infobox and two or three photos would help the article tremendously. Perhaps one photo of the fleet in the R-J War and one from WWII.

History Questions
[edit]- The article states that the 1st Fleet was "established on 28 December 1903...[and] created during the Russo-Japanese War", though the war didn't break out until until Feb 1904. Can this seeming anomaly be clarified?
- At the end, the article states that "the main force in the Imperial Japanese Navy was mostly held in reserve from the time of its inception until near the end of World War II"; however the page for the Combined Fleet states that it was mobilized as early as the Battle of Midway (1942). This appears to be a point for either correction or clarification.
