Winner
[edit]Wouldn't the Republicans be the winner Cheney's election as VP broke the tie? GamerKiller2347 (talk) 06:34, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
- The tie wouldn't be broken until 3 weeks after the new Congress. So, for those three weeks, Democrats had the effective majority (with Gore's VP vote). But the real answer to your question is that there isn't really a "winner" when there's a tie like that. —GoldRingChip 15:00, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
- @GamerKiller2347: & @GoldRingChip:, this exact topic is being debated at the moment, at 2020 United States Senate elections. -- GoodDay (talk) 12:57, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
