Table layout

[edit]

I'm moving the discussion to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject The Football League: Season-By-Season. Zny further discussion should be held there and not here. Kingjeff 18:55, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Table colouring

[edit]

I don't like the colouring of the table, the bright colours denoting promotion and relegation should be replaced with softer colours

Ya. The red doesn't seem soft at all. Kingjeff 14:38, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Trundle

[edit]

Irish, Dutch and English all at the same time? Jimokay 10:46, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Relegation

[edit]

If a team is certain of relegation before the end of the season, or certain of promotion, shouldn't we denote that they can't stay up, or stay down?

Leeds United

[edit]

They'll be getting the 10 point deduction. But the issue is when they'll get it. Kingjeff 14:56, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Boston United

[edit]

Haven't Boston United been deducted 10 points for entering a Company Voluntary Arrangement [CVA] before full time. Kingjamie 20:49, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Does the total points on this article agree with the total points on The Football League website? Kingjeff 22:48, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It has now been confired by BBC Sport (here) and Boston United's offical webiste (here) Kingjamie 17:40, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Goalscoring leaders

[edit]

I just edited this to include McSheffrey as tied 10th in the Championship on 14, and then wondered whether there was a convention to stop at 10 names (presumably on grounds of space?) rather than including ties. Can't find any discussion anywhere.

Also, in the League 2 list, Anthony Elding has 14 but in his soccerbase stats and on the Football Laegue site he has 16. Is this just because the lists haven't been updated for the end of the season yet, or is there a problem with sources and the figures need checking? Struwaytalk 15:48, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would side with The Football League's website. Kingjeff 15:52, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shrewsbury v MK Dons

[edit]

The playoff semi between the two sides constituted the last competive matches at Gay Meadow and the National Hockey Stadium respectively. Would this be notable enough to warrant inclusion? Krytenia (talk) 00:35, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
