Map duplication

[edit]

The images used in English are only used in English, they are not the ones used in Portuguese or Spanish, or any other language. Why weren't the old maps just updated, like people have been doing since the maps were created? Further the pink map is dated with a timestamp. Does that mean we have to change the image every update? And the black-red-yellow map says "new" on it. It won't be new the next time something is updated. So now we have to keep track of updates and keep sync with what Hispanic wikipedians update on the other maps, or Brazilians on the other maps?
