Did Western Sahara and Kosovo Participate?[edit]
The map shows Western Sahara in grey with the caption that this indicates first participation. Western Sahara is not listed in in the tables of countries or athletes participating. Additionally, all of Europe is green. I cannot make out Kosovo in a divergent color. As I understand it, neither of these nations can participate as they are not U.N. recognized. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.4.228.133 (talk) 03:10, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
Categories[edit]
I have included this in both the categories Category:July 2012 sports events/Category:August 2012 sports events and the categories Category:July 2012 sports events in the United Kingdom/Category:August 2012 sports events in the United Kingdom. I think that as the Olympics are a truly global event (and arguably seen by most people as the biggest sporting event of the year) it is probably the case that people using categories to search would expect to find the games in the parent category for sporting events by month as well as the sub-sub categories (which being held in the UK it seems logical for it to be included in). I have already done the same for Category:2012 Summer Olympics as mention on its talk page. However I am happy to discuss further. Dunarc (talk) 14:54, 2 November 2019 (UTC)
Merger proposal[edit]
I propose to merge Uniform Distribution and Accreditation Centre into the 'Volunteers' section of this page. The precise warehouse in which the Games Makers' uniforms were stored is desperately minor as a topic, fails the general notability guideline, and any useful material from it can quite happily be housed here. - Oppose It does meet GNG as it has a number of reliable 3rd party sources plus under WP:GEOFEAT for the socio-economic importance to the 2012 Olympics. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 20:08, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

2012 pictograms[edit]
Can a article be created about the pictograms that were used in the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. (2A02:C7F:56E5:C700:A4C5:EF5F:BF69:2B4C (talk) 08:22, 23 August 2021 (UTC))
- If you find enough WP:independent WP:reliable sources about them, probably yes. (CC) Tbhotch™ 21:17, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
