Professional usage

[edit]

Should be noticed that it's used professionally by some companies? Crunchyroll lists familiarity with it as a requirement in their job listings: https://www.crunchyroll.com/jobs/10627/detail?type=all&gh_jid=10627 200.193.252.80 (talk) 22:11, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Abandonware?

[edit]

Should the article be updated to match the fact that the Aegisub project has been abandoned? Their site went down last month and their last version was 6 years ago. There are various community projects and builds, though. Rctgamer3 (talk) 10:43, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think the project is abandoned anymore. The project was transferred to a new maintainer (CoffeeFlux) in early 2021, who has been working on some improvements and getting a new release out. They also claim that the server (site) is down because the "host decided to shut it down" and they haven't yet been able to contact them, but they say "We still have the domain". While it's probably worth mentioning the change of ownership and site downtime in the article (at least temporarily), I think the past tense edit (is -> was) should be reverted. See: https://github.com/Aegisub/Aegisub/issues/211 and https://github.com/Aegisub/Aegisub/issues/214. Lemmmy (talk) 11:19, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
