Differentiate from vascular resistance?[edit]

It would be worth explaining in the article how this is not the same as vascular resistance.2601:448:C500:1F53:21C:B3FF:FE74:2848 (talk) 23:24, 14 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hemodynamics discussion and regulation of afterload[edit]

Hello wikipedia! I think this article will benefit from a few new sections: hemodynamics (explore relationships with preload, cardiac output, and perhaps demonstrate principles with pressure volume curve(s)); regulation of afterload. I added the regulation section and will find good sources soon. I also think work can be done on clinical relevance/pathology section , especially in terms of citations. Thanks much!
