Benjamin Tillman's Machine?

This article currently mentions "Voters endorsed prohibition in 1892 but instead were given the Dispensary System of state-owned liquor stores, They soon became symbols of political corruption controlled by Ben Tillman's machine and were shut down in 1907.", but like... what does this even mean? 71.219.189.147 (talk) 20:50, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
