winches
[edit]my Alden 44, hull 20, 1981, has 10 winches; 5 on the mast: main, Genoa/jib, spinnaker and staysail halyards plus outhaul and 5 in the cockpit: mainsheet, and two primaries and two secondaries for sheeting. I have edited the article in the past to reflect this, but the edits have been refused. I'm not sure where the other winches mentioned in the article would physically fit, and I am quite sure that they would be unnecessary. 212.156.82.14 (talk) 13:58, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
