Shandor Rado?
[edit]- Where is this name Shandor Rado comes from? He was Sándor Radó or did he used the Shandor abroad? - Hu Totya 20:41, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hungarian 's' is pronounced like English 'sh'. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 17:34, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Intelligence Knowledge?
[edit]The sentence about Roessler being a conduit for British schemes seems to be an outsider hypothesis, not necessarily fact.--Radh (talk) 07:59, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Suggest renaming article title to avoid confusion?
[edit]{{movereq|Alexander Rado}}
Sándor Radó → Alexander Rado — When checking what articles link to this one I noticed several links from the redirect "Sandor Rado" that were about a totally different person (I have since disambiguated these links to Sandor Rado (psychoanalyst). It seems there's another notable person going by the name of Sandor Rado, and considering the subject of this article is more widely known by the name "Alexander Rado", maybe that would be a better choice for the article title. -- œ™ 23:11, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- As there was no opposition to this proposal, I have now moved the article. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 11:01, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
- What on earth is the source for "Alexander Rado"? Library of Congress only recognizes "Sándor Radó", and "Alexander Radó" redirects to it. Also, the disambiguation should have gone to Sándor Radó (psychoanalyst). --Mlang.Finn (talk) 17:41, 6 February 2011 (UTC)

[edit]- Arthur Koestler In his autobiography The Invisible Writing, devotes a chapter to Radó under the heading “Homage to a Spy”. In the mid-1930s Radó and his wife had helped the struggling Koestler and at one stage in 1935–36 Radó had employed Koestler in a mysterious 'news reporting agency' which he was managing at the time. Koestler's book was first published in 1954. The contents make it clear that at the time of writing Koestler believed that after the war Radó had been liquidated by the Soviets. The 'Danube' edition reprint of the book, published in 1969, carries the original chapter unamended (pp. 368–378). ISBN 0-09-098030-1.
