Lede

[edit]

Shouldn’t the stuff about his sexual misconduct be placed higher up in the article? I feel like given how extensive his history of being a general menace to society is, it should be more prominently placed Editmakerer (talk) 15:15, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Grammatical issues with page

[edit]

This page has quite a few errors, particularly in the Legal Issues and Controversies section. For example: 'In January 2011, Dick was ejected form the AVN Awards' should be 'ejected from'; '[...] made antisemitic statements about Howard Stern, calling Stern was a "money-grubbing Jew" [...]' shouldn't have the word 'was'; '[...] escorted off the set of the film Vampire Dad due to as "multiple, flagrant acts of improper conduct [...]' doesn't need the word 'as'. As the page is now protected from editing, these can't easily be fixed, but perhaps the page would benefit from a proofread to ensure that it reads correctly? @Whynotlolol: Thanks for pointing this out I've corrected the three errors you mentioned. If you would like to proofread the rest of the article and mention any other problems, please do. Otherwise I may have a look at it sometime. : You were actually lucky that I saw your message; if I hadn't been checking it's perfectly possible that nobody would have seen it. For future reference, in this situation put the following above your message: {{edit semi-protected|Andy Dick|answered=no}}. That will cause the page to be included in a list of pages with requests for edits, so that sooner or later an editor who checks that list will find their way here. Looks like you accidentally introduced a new error tho: "goodb⁰ye"

"goodb⁰ye" should be changed to "goodbye" in § Other incidents (second-to-last paragraph in that section). 99.146.242.37 (talk) 04:52, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

2021 engagement

[edit]

Is this worth noting under personal life? Currently the article makes it seem like he's had no relationships since his divorce in 1990.

  • "Comedian Andy Dick to wed". Toronto Sun. 1 March 2021. Comedian Andy Dick is engaged to former Cobra Starship bandmember

It seems that the fiance in question has had a lot of POV-pushing BLP violations in regard to articles made about her so I won't openly say the name, though it does beg the question if a locked redirect either to Cobra Starship#Band members or to Andy Dick#Personal life would be suitable as a placeholder.
