It's narrower designation than "bio" I guess. It's just a stub tag, but I changed it. Katr67 03:42, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

First, federal judges are politicians, even though they do not run for election. Second, she was previously a county judge, and those do require election, though non-partisan. But more importantly, to quote the wikipedia defenition of politician: politician is an individual who is a formally recognized and active member of a government

And as her decision demonstrated, she is an active member of the government. An elected official is not the only way to be a politician. Aboutmovies 04:33, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Aboutmovies, wikipedia may define a politician that way, but the point of the federal constitutional design is that federal judges are politically insulated. They have life tenure. And there is almost nothing Congress or the people can do about it.
