Named after[edit]

It does not make sense that it is named after https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikhail_Annenkov who is important figure in the history of the Russian conquest of Turkestan, but he is not an explorer. Russian version of the page links to Анненков, Михаил Дмитриевич who was a lieutenant on the Mirny (sloop-of-war), not Анненков, Михаил Николаевич (different middle name).
