Is the category "Australian plants" really appropriate here? The Avicennia species are found in tropical regions all around the world, so why Australia?

I agree. My personal view is that Category:Australian plants should contain every species that occurs in Australia regardless of where else it occurs, but only those articles on higher taxa that are endemic to Australia or or otherwise strongly associated with Australia. A review of the article history indicates that it was me that put it in the category in the first place, so I will now remove it. Drew (Snottygobble) | Talk 02:16, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
