Title

[edit]

I really think describing the naval battle and the land battle in this single article is confusing. I move to do like what was done for the Battle of Vella Lavella and Naval Battle of Vella Lavella and divide this article up the same way. The current article would be called Naval Battle of Empress Augusta Bay and the Battle of Empress Augusta Bay would cover the land battle and would become a sub-battle under the Bougainville campaign (1943-45). I know that the naval battle was directly connected to the land battle but I still think they should be described in separate articles. I'll wait awhile before I do this to give time for any objections or alternate ideas to be raised here. Cla68 23:39, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to include the land battle of Empress Augusta Bay under an article titled, "Landings at Cape Torokina." This article will keep the same title but will be solely about the naval battle. Cla68 12:17, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
