Staffer’s behavior
[edit]I saw a link in the lead ([1]https://www.mediaite.com/politics/congressional-staffer-reportedly-filmed-porn-in-senate-hearing-room-appears-to-be-unprotected-sex/) which had come and gone several times. I am aware of the story, and am also aware that the staffer is not a staffer anymore. Furthermore, if you do choose to add it to the article, I think it should be done in an objective manner, as in taking both sides into consideration. Unknown0124 (talk) 19:44, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- This is not WP:DUE for Cardin's biography. – Muboshgu (talk) 20:09, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- Well you're pretty quick to rule that out. Unknown0124 (talk) 22:41, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- It has nothing to do with Cardin directly. It could become a line on a List of United States Congress scandals page if one exists, but I fail to see how this situation relates to Cardin's BLP given that he wasn't one of the participants. – Muboshgu (talk) 00:15, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
- I see. There is no List of United States Congress scandals page yet (though I see what you were getting at), but I can see it more as a line in the List of federal political scandals in the United States page. Unknown0124 (talk) 00:37, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
- There's now an article dedicated to this story, Capitol Hill sex tape scandal. Wow (talk) 04:16, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
- It's been added to the List of federal political scandals in the United States page.Caravansera (talk) 16:33, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

Chairing SFTC and blocking the MAHSA Act
[edit]I would like to reenter the previous entry about Senator Cardin's blockage of the bill with new resources Muboshgu Are there any objections?
The resources:
1. https://jewishinsider.com/2024/01/mahsa-act-senate-foreign-relations-committee-iran-cardin/
3. https://www.iranintl.com/en/202401039944 IranianDiaspora (talk) 19:21, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
- I don't know those outlets. "BNN Breaking" looks suspect to me and some hits on Google suggest they are fake news. The Jewish Insider piece looks to be neutrally written. – Muboshgu (talk) 22:01, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
- I am not familiar with BNN Breaking myself either. I will just cite the Jewish Insider. IranianDiaspora (talk) 00:33, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
