Incorrect timing

[edit]

Local time in Iran, right now (Summer time), is UTC+4:30, so it's either 18:50 local (14:20 UTC) or 19:20 local (13:50 UTC). I don't know the correct one, probably the second.

Iran??? The accident was in Pakistan. Time conversion are per the BBC. Mjroots (talk) 20:16, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, sorry! I realized later. I've been travelling to much lately... Gons (¿Digame?) 05:56, 21 April 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gons (talkcontribs)

Maiden flight

[edit]

It is my understanding that this is the maiden flight...any word on that? --Camilo Sanchez (talk) 23:31, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Mentioned in article under accident. Inaugural flight on this route. Mjroots (talk) 04:41, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The coordinates 33°39′46″N 72°59′07″E appear to be off to the North

[edit]

According to Aviation Herald, the aircraft crashed slightly left on of the centerline extension of Runway 30. The coordinates 33°39′46″N 72°59′07″E are nowhere near that, as they are way to the north. For now there is nothing on Wikimapia.org indicating the crash place. --Mareklug talk 01:02, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I took the coords from the pl.Wiki article. Will correct using Google Earth. Mjroots (talk) 04:35, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nationality / Citizenship

[edit]

To date I have not seen any references that actually show the nationality or citizenship of the passengers. Where is the data being brought in from? The current references only show the well publicized passenger manifest to the extent that it shows the names of the passengers. Nowhere is nationality mentioned that I have been able to tell. Jkstark (talk) 16:52, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

One would expect the likes of CNN to report if any were American, but so far have not mentioned it. MilborneOne (talk) 17:48, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed it as it appeared to have no basis. The page history will tell you that the American victim is supposed to be a Sarah Chughtai, who is listed on the passenger list. It stood out when I glanced the list as I suspect it's not a common local name, but we have no real basis to draw any conclusions. -- zzuuzz (talk) 08:34, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
But there is one Pakistani American citizen on board. He had dual citizen. I had watched a report on tv. --Saki talk 09:09, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
