Language/characterization choices[edit]

So, the lede on the main page that lead me here, and the word choices in the first few sentenced and on the sidebar, definitely violate NPOV through the use of activist language/perspective. And I say that as someone who put almost 20 years into the movement. I don't come to WP to read my own propaganda; rather, I'm looking for an encyclopedia which presents all the relevant info with as little subjectivity as possible. Different word choices could achieve this without omitting facts. The cops here were, when these events occured, policing an activist march at the location the activists chose to occupy. There are certainly other ways to inform the reader that the police response was considered heavy handed or unjustified without pretending the cops marched on the Castro.district with the intention of laying beatdowns and making arrests. 199.7.157.24 (talk) 13:17, 8 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. Astonished this made it past the neutrality review for DYK. VineFynn (talk) 06:01, 6 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
