oe -> ae[edit]

More information is needed on how the oe changed to ae in the bird's name. When was it incorrectly transcribed? By whom? How did it wind up staying in the public record? Mistakes happen all the time, but they are usually corrected eventually -- it would be notable how this one happened. - Revolving Bugbear 02:46, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
