Article lacks almost all historical and current yield information

[edit]

This article is poorly written, without almost all information, and almost no citations. It is not well linked to the rest of wikipedia, and is linked deceptively to other articles. It is difficult to understand why it is rated so highly by the people who have bothered to read it. Someone with an interest in this topic should turn it into something worth reading. Right now it is not.... Avram Primack (talk) 15:22, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Data ?

[edit]

"Based on available data and general knowledge" does not satisfy for sourcing. Please acknowledge your sources. Un-sourced data will be removed according to terms of this Project. Rgdboer (talk) 01:27, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently the table was speculative. No source appeared. The table was removed after 40 hours. — Rgdboer (talk) 01:22, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I was wondering about where it came from too, but it would have had issues trying to summarize average yield worldwide with so much variability across countries. Anything like that, when sourced, would probably be best addressed at individual crop articles and instead address general concepts on yield here. KoA (talk) 14:28, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
