Complete rewrite needed in the Indigenous Peoples section[edit]

The "Indigenous peoples" section under "Ethnic groups" is both poorly sourced and characterized by racist overtones. While I do agree that the section should continue to exist (and short but separate sections for moro, lowland, and migrant populations created alongside it), I think it needs to be rewritten from the ground up. I would normally just WP:Be bold and do it myself, but it's a lot of work, and I tought perhaps others would like to have a crack at it before I am able to do so. At the same time, I am giving notice that it's something I want to pay attention to at a later time. Thanks! - Batongmalake (talk) 23:38, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree it needs a rewrite. For now, I replaced the section's contents with an excerpt of the dedicated article's lead section. Sanglahi86 (talk) 07:15, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
