Bias, or just a badly misnamed?

[edit]

This article hardly presents a broad view of diplomatic activity during the American Revolutionary War -- it is completely US-centric. There is no discussion of inter-European diplomacy whatsoever (examples: British attempts to acquire foreign forces from Russia, the diplomatic dances of Britain, France and Spain, or diplomatic maneuvers surrounding the First League of Armed Neutrality). As a result, this is (from that broad perspective) barely a Start-class article.

Maybe it should be renamed to Diplomacy involving the Thirteen Colonies in the American Revolutionary War or something similar. Magic♪piano 21:12, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Or perhaps it could have the missing information included, instead of a name change

Treaty of Paris - merged material

[edit]

I've merged content from American Revolutionary War#Aftermath, Preliminary agreements to here at Peace of Paris. See Move 'Great Powers' to 'Diplomacy' discussion there. The focus for the ARW article is MILITARY history there, rather than DIPLOMATIC history, as it is here. TheVirginiaHistorian (talk) 11:06, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
