Cloning functionality

[edit]

Here's a web page that implies Disk Utility now has the ability to clone a volume (just like third-party utilities such as SuperDuper! or Carbon Copy Cloner): http://everythingapple.blogspot.com/2007/11/use-powerpc-mac-to-create-bootable.html

Is this true? If so, it's a big deal that should be mentioned in the Wikipdeia article. In what version did Disk Utility gain this functionality? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.219.243.234 (talk) 03:23, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speed of hard disk permission repair

[edit]

Doe anyone notice that since 10.5, the speed in which permissions are repaired is much much slower than ever before? Perhaps it is noteworthy to put it in there, if we can find sources to corroborate. Arbiteroftruth (talk) 18:37, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Primary sources ?

[edit]

Is the call for other primarysources really appropriate for a product like this. The definitive documentation is the apple documentation - of course for some similar topics there could be other sources worth referencing, but to make it a rule that there should be is to ignore the reality of how such products are created. There are references to the Apple documents, and as long as those are not somehow distorted or partisan, that seems to be wholly appropriate —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fentlehan (talkcontribs) 17:19, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
