Unfounded claims about Sam Bankman-Fried

[edit]

The edits from 134.76.162.163 about Sam Bankman-Fried seem to be unfounded (unproven claim that FTX is a Ponzi scheme) or irrelevant (about the FTX arena in Miami). I would suggest to reverse this paragraph to the previous version 90.252.89.160 (talk) 00:26, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. This specific incident probably doesn't merit mention in the lead, and certainly not in such a poorly-written paragraph. The "Ponzi scheme" claim sourced to an opinion piece is a WP:BLP concern. I've removed the paragraph from the lead, but I've expanded the body with more information about FTX's bankruptcy and its relevance to the topic of earning to give. —Mx.
