Needs citations

I think some of the info on the page needs more citations, especially around his death Fluorescent Jellyfish (talk) 22:53, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

As the user above says, there have been no inline citations, only a list of references at the end. I've added some from a couple of obituaries (as well as a link to Canby's review), but I think it's important that neither of them says da Silva had a record of offending before his involvement in the film, only afterwards. As it stands, this entry currently implies that he returned to the life of street crime that he had come from, while both of the main sources of inline citations deny that he belonged to this world before playing Pixote.
