George

[edit]

I have seen him mentioned as "George" in street names. Should it be added as another form of his name? --Error (talk) 01:33, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think so, as per WP:UEIA. I also find it odd that the article name is "Giorgio Borg Olivier". While this may have been his official name it is not the name which is most commonly used and recognised. I suggest a re-name of the entire article as per WP:UCN. -- Demdem (talk) 13:37, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Post-Leadership Parliamentary Career

[edit]

In the article it is stated that "Once forced out of the leadership, Borg Olivier resigned from parliament".

This is factually incorrect. Borg Olivier did NOT resign from parliament after his resignation as Opposition and PN leader. He died in October 1980 as a sitting MP, following which Anne Agius Ferrante was elected in a casual election for his vacant seat. This can easily be verified by consulting books about Malta's electoral history (for instance the voluminous books written by Michael J. Schiavone.
