Seriously out of date?

[edit]

I get it that Wikipedians love following the lead of news outlets and creating curious snapshots in time to puff up greater topics (in this case, Occupy Wall Street) and calling that "the sum total of human knowledge". This certainly qualifies as a curious snapshot in time, backed by a bunch of now-unverifiable sources. According to this story, this is the same George Martinez who moved to Alaska approximately a decade ago and is currently a member of the Anchorage Assembly (see here). The Ballotpedia link implies a belief on their part that they're two different people. Ballotpedia is a far more severe example of style over substance than even Wikipedia, so fuck them. Anyway, what gives here? Oh, BTW, if we are talking about the same person, I have a bunch of photos. I'm reluctant to upload any them, however. He was a candidate in the 2021 Anchorage mayoral election and the folks over at Commons took great pains to eradicate all photos related to that election which weren't of Dave Bronson or Forrest Dunbar. If the dirty tricks will cease, I may change my mind. Let me know. RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 05:27, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
