Different from the comic strip[edit]

  • In a 1950's comic Strip of Peanuts-it was Linus whose costume had holes in it-not Charlie Brown!
  • Also in the Comic Strip of Peanuts-Charlie Brown does get Halloween candy which he shares with Linus!
  • In the next year Linus does sit in the Pumpkin patch-but without Sally Brown-although the gag of Sally Brown waiting with Linus was repeated years later-along with Marcie! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.49.242.65 (talk) 16:03, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Origin of the belief[edit]

Has there ever been in the comic strips any explanation of why Linus believes in such a bizarre beeing and how he has come to believe in it? Because someone has told him of it, perhaps as a joke, but Linus did not understand that it was a joke? (Unlike Santa Claus, it is not the question of a being of which it is, or has been, even locally, customary to tell stories to children.) Or has he once dreamed about such a thing? If there ever has been a reference to the origin of the belief, it should be mentioned in this article. -137.163.19.9 (talk) 14:07, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
