Grewia retusifolia actually belongs to the family Tiliaceae according to the Australian Plant Name Index. http://www.anbg.gov.au/cgi-bin/apni

We use the APG III system of classification. The APNI database uses the older Cronquist system.The Western Australian Herbarium has recently updated to the newer classification [1].Melburnian (talk) 23:53, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

New species name

G. retusifolia is a southeast Asian taxon; the Australian population discussed in this article has been recognized as a separate species, G. savannicola, since 2019.
