Name[edit]
So where did they get the funny name from? David.Throop 22:51, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not exactly sure. Half-breed is a derogatory term, and I assume that it was used by the pro-Grant faction to make fun of the people who were moderate Republicans (opposed political patronage). Nishkid64 (talk) 17:30, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
stalwarts[edit]
Should there be a merge, as you cannot know the whole story of the half-breeds without knowing the stalwarts? Joshua D. 75.54.94.160 (talk) 02:51, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
