Creation of article

[edit]

I have created this article, splitting it off from the section of the same title in the main article Harold Pinter#The Harold Pinter Archive in the British Library, and adding categories for ease of finding it in Wikipedia. For the editing history of the main article, please see it, as cross-referenced at top of this article. The "Works cited" for this article is cross-linked to Bibliography for Harold Pinter. --NYScholar (talk) 19:09, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

For convenience of readers, I've updated the EL section and provided links via templates to non-print Web-based sources in Notes. [Note: The Harold Pinter Archive in the British Library is an expansion of a section of Harold Pinter#Archive.] While its works cited (sources) are still keyed to the Bibliography for Harold Pinter, I thought it might be helpful to repeat the live links after updating the EL sec. Wikipedia generally does not approve of proliferation of ELs in text or in Notes when they are not necessary. The sources have all been checked, verified, and, as needed, updated when the URLs disappeared or shifted. --NYScholar (talk) 22:43, 10 January 2009 (UTC) [Updated with Wikified link. --NYScholar (talk) 22:27, 11 March 2009 (UTC)][reply]

(update) It was some time ago (June 2008) that I created this article (sec. of main article Harold Pinter). At some later point, I began using citation templates as well as MLA format in the "Works cited", and I have left them in. I don't see a problem with doing so here, as the Bibliography for Harold Pinter gives the references in MLA style format, and I have followed that format in the "Works cited" here as well. I have also added convenience links to the prevailing MLA style format now in the main article for many of the online sources. MLA style parenthetical referencing is used throughout the main article, as there are many print publications cited in it. --NYScholar (talk) 07:40, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
