DNB article
[edit]If someone would like to grab the text from s:Despenser, Henry, le (DNB00) it is ready to be inhaled into this article. When done it would be great if someone could add {{DNB|Despenser, Henry, le}} to the reference. billinghurst sDrewth 16:38, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
- The DNB article referred to has already been used extensively and referenced in the Wikipedia article. Hel-hama 07:53, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

Recent name change
[edit]For reasons unstated, the name of this article has been changed from Henry Le Despenser to Henry Despenser. Normally a page move would be discussed first. I have no idea whether the new name is more appropriate, based on new scholarship or whatever. What it has done is produced a name different to that used in the article and in the sources quoted. Could the editor explain their rationale? Monstrelet (talk) 13:32, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- I am equally baffled. If it can be reverted easily, this should be done. Amitchell125 15:24, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- A quick online search does indicate that Oxford Reference does now use the name Henry Despenser (e.g. in ONDB)Monstrelet (talk) 16:00, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- There are plenty of books that refer to him with the 'le' and plenty that miss it out. Perhaps it would be simpler just to mention the alternative 'le Despenser' form in the lead section. Amitchell125 18:24, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
