The article claims the field was re-opened in 1969. It may have been upgraded (blacktop) then, but it remained operational from WW2 on wards. I flew there several times in the mid-60s. TAA had regular PNG-Honiara DC3 services from 1958 onwards, Direct Moresby-Honiara services using F27s started circa 1963.14.203.207.166 (talk) 02:07, 4 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
