Alternate Stan Lee cameo?[edit]

Here's a link to Stan talking about his cameo, which is very different to what we all have seen. Worth an add? -- Harish (Talk) - 21:55, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Arabic music in the Movie[edit]

In the third song of the soundtrack, "betty's dream" a women sings "Yaaa leily..." which means "Oh my night" and is a common saying in Arabic songs. You can hear part of the song here. BTW, shouldn't the article contain information about the soundtrack since it received a couple of awards?--Diaa abdelmoneim (talk) 18:22, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, IF that's what's heard, then it's common as you say, and non-notable. As to the soundtrack, if you can find reliable sources regarding the selections of songs by the creative teams, then it can be included. ThuranX (talk) 06:54, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hulk: The Junior Novel[edit]

Can we use this to assist the plot section? I have the book and I can use it to add the dates of when the event took place. - Rockmandrum (talk) 00:03, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

hulk is the bset 49.205.106.126 (talk) 11:05, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Here's some dates the events took place (from the junior novel) Note that some may be unneeded:
  • Bruce's birthdate: 1969
  • Year most of intro (before 14-year old Bruce wakes up from the nightmare in 1983) takes place: 1973
  • Date Bruce started working at the lab in California: June 18, 2001
  • Date picture at Betty's log house took place: September 23, 2002
  • Date frog experiments took place: March 16-19, 2003
  • Date Bruce first meets David Banner: April 3-4, 2003 Midnight
  • Date Bruce gets hit by Gamma Rays: April 9, 2009
  • Most of the events in the middle of the movie takes place in April 2003

Hope this helps. - Rockmandrum (talk) 18:16, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The fine line between good and mixed reception[edit]

Where is this line? This movie is listed as having had a "mixed" reception with 62%, whereas the 2008 reboot is listed as having had a "positive" reception with 66%. Seems kind of strange. --Rogington (talk) 19:17, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Voice of Hulk[edit]

I just noticed that there is no mention of who did the voice. I'm pretty sure I remember Lou Ferrigno himself talking about doing the voice, but I can't find any reliable source that says that he did. It's on his IMDb page, but I don't think that's reliable enough. Any ideas? I think it something should be said about it in the article. --Musdan77 (talk) 19:15, 29 November 2011 (UTC) when78.146.97.176 (talk) 19:10, 4 December 2012 (UTC) when? 78.146.97.176 (talk) 20:04, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I seem to remember that, as well. But, like you, I don't have the time right now to pop the disc in and watch the credits! --Ben Culture (talk) 23:10, 6 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If it is conflicting with "The Incredible Hulk"[edit]

Please if it presents conflict with "The Incredible Hulk", remove it from the list. If it's all 'bout body shapes and sizes, remove it still. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marlongrabato (talkcontribs) 20:10, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This 2003 film can contradict the 2008 The Incredible Hulk (film) all it wants. Hulk is not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and The Incredible Hulk is a soft reboot, not a sequel. We see his origin as different in the opening credits of the latter film.

Reboot[edit]

Avi Arad called the film "a windfall for Marvel," so I am flummoxed as to how that was turned into "a disaster." Perhaps the author was thinking of another producer, but I don't like to speculate wildly. Sentence corrected.MarkB2 Chat 16:50, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Brian "David" Banner?[edit]

When in the movie was he called/referred to Brian? --Musdan77 (talk) 04:40, 26 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

He is not. The edit in question was made by an editor adding false information to the page.

Plot[edit]

Bruce is kept under observation at a secret base, while Talbot intends to weaponize the Hulk's powers. David tries to recreate Bruce's failed experiment, but instead of turning into another Hulk he finds himself able to absorb any material he touches or energy to which he is exposed. He hands himself over to the military after lying to Betty and telling her he had murdered his wife in front of young Bruce. Through nightmare about the event, Bruce realizes his father thought Bruce was a monster and tried to kill him while his mother protected him. David wounded her in the process before leaving and causing an explosion in the facilities gamma reactor. This leads to a more powerful transformation into the Hulk. While attempting to gain a sample of the monster, Talbot is killed. The Hulk escapes the base and rampages to dry land, battling Army forces sent after him. Betty calms Bruce into his human form.

David tries to taunt his son into transforming into the Hulk, feeling that since he gave him life, he must give it back to him. David then bites an electrical cable, absorbing all the electricity in it. The electricity hits Bruce, triggering his transformation. A brutal fight ensues, with David absorbing the Hulk's energy. It proves too much for David to handle and when he himself transforms into a massive creature, he is killed by an army missile.

There is a huge chunk of plot missing between these two paragraphs. Anyone who hasn't already seen the movie is going to be confused. It makes it sound like Betty calmed down the Hulk and then David showed up out of nowhere with an electrical wire. Those are in fact two different scenes. Suggestions[edit]

The article for Hulk 2003 film used to read that the film received mixed to positive reviews by critics who praised its storyline while others criticized its outdated CGI and because of the latter, the sequel was cancelled. One thing that could improve the article would be a more detailed explanation of Talbot's death.
