Fair use rationale for Image:Sarmybook.jpg[edit]

Image:Sarmybook.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Year of birth[edit]

Is there any particualar reason why Francis is on the list of 1951 births if she was born in 1947? George.millman (talk) 23:23, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Her birth year was previously listed as 1951. IMDb recently changed it to 1947 on their site. Then someone changed it to 1947 on here, without altering the 1951 cats. I'd frankly like to see the 1947 date confirmed by another source. Crisso (talk) 06:28, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The personal responsible for changing the date of birth both on IMDb and on this siate was myself. I am a moderator of the Yahoo! Jan Francis Group and have collaborated on research for the Jan Francis Online Archive. 1947 is correct because, quite simply, we retain a certified copy of the birth certificate! 80.225.217.60 (talk) 20:45, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, that would be counted as original reasearch, since the birth certificate is not publically available for verification of your claim, I believe. Stephenb (Talk) 11:39, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copies of all birth, death and marriage certificates are publicly available from the General Register Office. The 1947 date is therefore accurate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.225.199.62 (talk) 22:35, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, here's her birth index entry which proves 1947. Crisso (talk) 11:56, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
